Why I Started Texas Roof Rescue
Last year my own homeowner’s insurance premium jumped from $7,000 to $10,000 — a 43% increase in a single renewal. My carrier knew my roof was eight years old, and that one data point reshaped my bill.
I also learned that 47% of Texas homeowner insurance claims in 2024 were closed without payment. Nearly half my neighbors who file a claim will get nothing. That night, I decided to do something about it.
After a 25-year career in enterprise technology — supporting 250+ SQL Server clusters and tuning 25-terabyte databases — I brought that same discipline to roofing. I utilized technology to collect and analyze data — I became a GoNano Certified Contractor & Installer, built the custom DJI Enterprise mapping / 3D-modeling drone software we fly today, and engineered the Roof Hawk™ — a purpose-built drone to apply the nanotechnology itself.
