The Basics

One Number, From Measurement

The usual roof inspection is somebody climbing a ladder, walking a few slopes, and coming down with an opinion. Two inspectors can look at the same roof and reach different conclusions, and neither leaves you anything you can check later or hand to an insurer.

A Roof Health Score replaces that opinion with a measurement. An FAA Part 107 pilot flies the roof, captures every slope in high resolution — including the steep and fragile sections nobody should be standing on — and the roof is scored against the same criteria every time. You get the number, the imagery behind it, and a report that stays on file.

Your exact score, and what it means for your particular roof, are set at the assessment by a GoNano™ Certified Contractor. See how the drone assessment works →

What Gets Scored

What the Assessment Actually Measures

Granule loss and surface wear

How much of the protective granule layer is left, and where it has thinned — read from high-resolution imagery rather than a handful of photos taken from the ground.

Brittleness and flexibility

Asphalt shingles fail from the inside as the binder oxidises and stiffens. Age, exposure and surface condition together indicate how far that has progressed.

Flashing, valleys and penetrations

The places roofs actually leak — vents, pipe boots, valleys, and the flashing details a walked inspection often skips.

Storm and impact damage

Hail bruising and wind lift, including impacts that are invisible from the ground and easy to miss from a ladder.

Why It Matters

What Your Score Decides

Protect, repair, or replace

The recommendation comes from the score, not from what we would rather sell you. A roof that genuinely needs replacing gets told so.

Whether rejuvenation is even an option

GoNano™ works on structurally sound shingles. Past a certain point a treatment is the wrong answer, and the score is what establishes that.

Your warranty eligibility

Coverage terms are set by your Roof Health Score at the time of treatment, and coverage must be registered within 30 days. Full terms are in GoNano’s Formal Limited Warranty.

Evidence for your carrier

The report is dated and archived, so when an insurer asks what condition the roof was in before a storm, the answer already exists.

The Long View

Every Roof’s Score Falls. Treated Ones Fall Slower.

An asphalt roof loses condition from the day it goes on, as heat, UV and oxygen stiffen the asphalt binder inside the shingle. Eventually the score drops far enough that replacement is the only honest recommendation left.

Rejuvenation works on the slope of that decline. Treating a structurally sound roof slows the oxidation driving it, which keeps the roof out of replacement territory for years longer — and the score is how that gets measured rather than asserted. See the independent testing →

Questions

Roof Health Score FAQ

What is a Roof Health Score?

A Roof Health Score is a single number summarising the measured condition of your roof, produced from a drone assessment. It scores the roof against consistent criteria — granule loss, brittleness, flashing and penetrations, and storm damage — rather than relying on one inspector’s judgement on one particular afternoon.

How do I get a Roof Health Score for my roof?

Request one from Texas Roof Rescue. An FAA Part 107 pilot flies your roof, captures every slope in high resolution, and you receive a condition report with your score. There is no cost and no obligation.

Does the score decide whether I need a new roof?

It decides the recommendation. A structurally sound roof that scores well is usually a candidate for GoNano™ rejuvenation instead of replacement. A roof that has genuinely reached the end of its life is told so — the data decides, not the sales pitch.

Does my Roof Health Score affect my warranty?

Yes. Coverage eligibility and terms are set by your Roof Health Score at the time of treatment. Full terms are in GoNano’s Formal Limited Warranty.
